Get API Key
Learn how to create, manage, and copy API keys and service endpoints in the OpenRely Console before integrating and configuring various AI applications and clients.
Before connecting any AI client, agent development framework, or automated workflow to OpenRely, you only need to prepare two core pieces of information: the Base URL and the API Key.
📌 Core Connection Parameters
| Parameter | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Base URL | https://api.openrely.ai/v1 | Compatible with standard OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini API protocols |
| API Key | sk-... | Dedicated access credential created in the OpenRely Console |
Security Warning: Your API Key is equivalent to your account's spending credential. Never upload your key in plaintext to public GitHub repositories, frontend client source code, or public forums.
🚀 Get an API Key in 30 Seconds
Step 1: Log in to the Console and Go to Key Management
Log in to the OpenRely Official Console, then click API Keys in the left navigation bar (or directly visit Console Key Management).
Step 2: Create an API Key
On the API Keys management page, click the Create API Key button:
- Name: Enter a name that helps you distinguish the client (e.g.,
Claude-Code,Cherry-Studio, orLocal Dev Test). - Quota Limit (Optional): Set an independent quota limit for this key (recommended) to prevent abnormal requests from a single client from excessively consuming your account balance.
- Model Permissions (Optional): Specify an allowed list of models that this key can call (leave blank to allow calling all available models).
- Click Submit to finish creating the key.
Step 3: Copy and Securely Store Your API Key
Once created, locate the newly created entry in the key list and click the Copy button to retrieve the full sk-... key. Please store it securely in a local password manager or configuration file.
⚡ Quick Verification (Optional)
After obtaining your key, you can run the following curl command in your terminal to quickly verify that your credentials and network connection are working properly:
# Replace <MODEL_NAME> with the model identifier chosen in Pricing (https://api.openrely.ai/pricing)
curl https://api.openrely.ai/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer sk-your-api-key-here" \
-d '{
"model": "<MODEL_NAME>",
"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Hello OpenRely!"}]
}'If a JSON response containing the model's reply is returned, your API Key is active and the connection is working properly! You can visit the OpenRely Model Pricing Center to view the list of all available models and their ratios.
