Chatbox is an established cross-platform desktop AI client favored by professionals and developers. Install the Chatbox Client
Go to the Chatbox Official Download Page to get the latest installer for your operating system (macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android supported), complete the installation, and launch the application.
Open Model Provider Settings
- Launch Chatbox and click the Settings gear icon ⚙️ in the lower-left corner (or press the settings shortcut Cmd + , / Windows: Ctrl + ,);
- In the AI Model Provider dropdown menu, select OpenAI API.
Configure OpenRely Custom Parameters
Fill in the parameters in the configuration panel as follows:

- Click the Save button in the lower-right corner to apply the changes.
Start Multi-Functional AI Conversations
Return to the main interface to start conversations:
- Multimodal Image Inquiries: Click the icon to the left of the input box to upload screenshots, diagrams, or document photos, and the AI will accurately extract information and provide answers;
- Custom Prompt Presets: Set dedicated System Prompts for specific workflows (such as "Code Review Assistant" or "Weekly Report Polisher").
